An American Spring in Public Education?

The benign indifference of many present-day Americans towards education is confusing. We have a huge gap in overall academic achievement as compared to insightful first world nations, yet we have a new and ever growing boorish culture that tears at the social fabric. We are not honoring children, education, teachers, and equity in public education when we have nothing but sour rhetorical debate with the loudest unqualified voice getting to rule the message. When do we say enough is enough and have an American Spring in public (community, free, open, and unrestricted) education?

When do we say enough!
