TED Talks for Kids | TED (Technology, Entertainment and Design) is a global set of conferences owned by the private non-profit Sapling Foundation, formed to disseminate "ideas worth spreading."

Let the same passion that inspires adults to strife and think be adapted to a TED Talk series for Kids! TED Talks for kids could include key note speeches for kids, by kids that inspire and empower!  Pasi Sahlberg the Finnish Minister of education and Guru of insightful pedagogy should kick off a Kids TED Conference in Finland to inspire kids and get them involved.

The world will be a very used up place in the near future if the adults keep making bad decisions that impact education and the world we all live in. Kids need to get involved before the adults have anymore time to destroy their chance at a bright future with bad policy. TED Talks Kid Conference 2013! Helsinki Finland.

A possible first TED Talk for Kids | Pasi Sahlberg : Standardized Test are the Enemy?!

Pasi Sahlberg writes:

“All of the factors that are behind the Finnish success seem to be the opposite of what is taking place in the United States and much of the rest of the world, where competition, test-based accountability, standardization, and privatization seem to dominate.”
Instead of competition, Finland decided on cooperation and mutual help as a matter of policy. Students are rarely tested. Instead, they teach each other in class. Each student gets personal attention until he is on par with the other students. This attitude extends to the teachers and schools as well:
“One of the ways that teachers improve is by learning from other teachers. Schools improve when they learn from other schools. Isolation is the enemy of all improvement.”
