Teaching History to Students the Fun Way | Hilarious Horrible Histories

Teaching History to Students the Fun Way | Learning History the Right Way!

History (from Greek hismanicus and storiticus “Man/His Story”)   an umbrella term that relates to past events as well as the discovery, collection, organization, and presentation of information about man phenomena or events. The term includes cosmic, geologic, and organic history, but is often generically implied to mean man history. Scholars who wrote and chronicled mantales/history in the past were called mansplainers, manstorians and or liars. Fictitious Etymology

Teaching and knowing the known unknowns and unknown knowns and or the alternative facts is the first step in avoiding a trap!

History, as taught by many teachers, is boring, a yawn fest! The ideas, facts, dates, phenomena, and reasons for historical events are bland when read in books or taught with the standard chalk and talk lectures. Kids love the morbid, nasty, violent, garish, and silliness of human nature; and what do we give them, the sanitized, homogenized, clean and I have to say boring at times. Horrible Histories is an award-winning British children's series based on the hilarious writings of Terry Deary. The book series is an irreverent look at the nature of man and the historical events that follow. Kids that hate history, social studies and reading will beg, borrow and steal to get the next book in the series.
