I miss singing together, making my student's laugh and telling jokes, acting silly, writing silly sentences, reading your writing, making Sriracha beef noodles, lots of hot coco, eating popcorn with chopsticks, playing games, reading Harry Potter, I miss the Hugs, and I miss helping with math, reading Choose Your Own Adventure Books, learning handy crafts, making rockets and parachutes, origami boxes, helping make smelly/stinky mustard seed hydroponics experiments, giving out candy and prizes for hard work, and learning new interesting ideas/vocabulary!

Mind, Body, and Spirit Enrichment Friday

First Idea:
1. Gather all the pillow, blankets, and cushions from around your house and make a Super Shelter Fort!

2. Gather your favorite reading materials and a healthy snack and kick back and read, read and read some more!

3. Take a moment to tell your parents and care givers that you love them and that you are grateful for all the things they do for you. BIG HUGS FOR YOUR PARENTS! 

Second Idea:
Get your parents permission and create a Tiktok dance video.

Third Idea:
Find some kid friendly jokes that makes you laugh and share them with me on our Class Dojo account or email them to me readingsage@gmail.com

Fourth Idea:
Find an amazing inspirational quote that makes you think deeply and share the with me on our Class Dojo account or email them to me readingsage@gmail.com

Fifth Idea:
Continue working on a science project or working on a genius hour project.

Sixth Idea: 
Create some art or write a poem, find something to be inspired about!

Seventh Idea:

Go on a hike, go to a National Park, or go camping!

Every year, beginning September 1, all kids in the fourth grade have access to their own Every Kid Outdoors pass at www.everykidoutdoors.gov. This pass provides free access to national parks across the country. The Every Kid Outdoors pass is good for the 4th grade school year, until August 31.
    9:30am - 10am
    RECESS AND BRAIN BREAK:GO OUTSIDE! Have a HEALTHY snack! Go for hike/walk/run. Youtube JUST DANCE!
      
    Play Board Games
    First Choice:
    Class, we have learned many strategic board games and math logic games this year, time to pull them out and start playing. Nine Men's Morris, Viking Chess, Star Chess, The Genius Game, Pawns, Chess, and so many Math Dice Games.

    Second Choice:
    Play family board games, Play Risk, Jenga, Sorry, Uno, Monopoly, Clue, and one of my favorites Payday!

    Third Choice: Create a new game or a variation on a game you already like to play like Star Chess. 

    LOOOONG LUNCH Break and Recess. HELP MAKING LUNCH AND TRY OUT A NEW RECIPE! 
    Try listyening to an educational podcast while making lunch Brains On! If you like science, Forever Ago if you like history, or Story Pirates to hear funny stories written by kids. Older students may like RadioLab If you like science, Forever Ago if you like history, or Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls if you like biographies
    1:00 am - 2:20 pm
    MATH LAB? 
    FIRST CHOICE: 
    Get out your Lego's, building blocks, puzzles, Hot Wheels and create an amazing play land.

    Second CHOICE: 
    Get into the Kitchen and make some food from scratch that requires measuring spoons and measuring cups. 

    Third CHOICE: Play online math games.  

    2:20 pm - 3:00 pm
    WRITING LAB

    • What would you wish for if you had one wish?
    • What to tell your parents to wish for if your parents meet a genie?
    • What is your greatest wish in life no magic or genie, just your hard work to get their?

    • Build a Lunar city out of trash.
    • Learn Mindful Meditation.
    • Design a Tiny House.
    • Build a candy vending machine. 
    • Learn how to maintain your vehicles, change a car tire, check the fluid levels, check the tire pressure, inspect the belts and hoses. 
    • Build a mini-engineering project like a Heron's Fountain.

    • Explore the world by planing a vacation in a far away land. 
    • Find the answers to life's biggest questions. WHAT IS AN IDEAL DAD OR MOM? WHAT is A "PHILOSOPHER" LIFELONG LEARNING ? WHAT does it Mean BEING HAPPY WITH LESS? 
    • Learn a to play the recorder.
    • Write a story, play, compose a song, create a new dance, learn a new language, start a journal, etc.
