I've spent 26 years in classrooms, studied educational models abroad, and built my practice around one core belief: oracy — the ability to think out loud, discuss, and articulate — is the prerequisite for literacy, not an afterthought to it. An "optimal school," to me, isn't a marketing phrase — it's a design constraint. It means taking the best-evidenced pieces of how children actually learn and refusing to settle for whichever one is cheapest to administer:
