Reading A-Z, Reading A-Z Reviews

The Reading A-Z reading website is a reading teacher’s top choice for high quality reading materials for grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. The scope and sequence of reading resources found at Reading A-Z is vast considering the small yearly cost. I use Reading A-Z fluency drills, leveled books, and poetry daily to supplement my class literacy goals. The ability to access 1000’s of reading resources ranging from 1st grade through 6th grade with the click of a mouse saves time and makes differentiation easy. My students enjoy the vast selections of high quality books and fluency drills; they never get board with the wide-ranging reading materials. As a teacher, you want to find free or nearly free reading resources, Reading a-z gives you the most bang for your buck. Reading A-Z is the only pay reading resource site I use. Thousands or resources, easy to search, quality writing, and cost make Reading A-Z a winner. The Reading A-Z is constantly expanding and keeping up to date with state reading standards including the CCSS.
Many teachers are concerned with the implementation of the Common Core States Standards, and are not sure how to meet these new higher standards with the reading programs they have! I feel assured that Reading A-Z will be a great resource to help my students as we move to the more rigorous standards. The Common Core State Standards are going to leave many reading materials obsolete from the standpoint of appropriate CCSS Lexile level.  Reading a-z has the advantage of helping teachers and parents adapt and prepare for the more rigorous reading goals and standards.
Homeschoolers and parents with young kids will find an amazing digital library that supports home school lessons, early literacy, reading intervention, and learning extensions for students that want to go above and beyond grade level.

Update  5/9/12
The only pet peeve I have with Reading a-z is they make you give your email before they will disclose the price for a year’s subscription. My guess is they want to build a database of emails for marketing!

I seldom give endorsements for reading resources but Reading A-Z gets 5 stars! Reading A-Z is a great source for quality leveled books, fluency drills, teacher friendly pricing, and ease of use. Sean Taylor The Reading Sage
